Ratio: We use a proportion of 1:15, that is, for every gram of coffee we add 15 grams of water. For this recipe, we will use 225g of water, which is equivalent to 15g of coffee.
Heat the water: Heat the filtered water until it reaches a temperature of 85-90°C.
Grind the coffee: Grind 15g of coffee to a medium-fine point.
Prepare the filter: Place the paper filter in the lid of the AeroPress and rinse it with hot water to remove any paper taste.
Assemble the AeroPress: Place the AeroPress in its inverted position (plunger down) and ensure it is stable.
Add the coffee: Place the 15g of ground coffee in the AeroPress.
Pour the water: Add 225g of hot water over the coffee, filling the AeroPress to the desired level.
Stir: Gently stir the coffee and water for about 10 seconds with the included paddle.
Attach the lid: Place the lid with the filter on the AeroPress and make sure it is securely fastened.
Wait: Let the coffee sit for 1-2 minutes.
Invert and Press: Carefully invert the AeroPress over a cup or carafe and press the plunger down steadily until all the coffee has been extracted.
Serve and enjoy: Pour the coffee into your favorite mug.
