A gentle extraction that highlights the unique characteristics of the coffee beans, revealing nuances and flavors

What do we need?

  • V60
  • paper filters
  • Filtered water
  • Windmill
  • Kettle
  • Weighing machine
  • Good coffee

Recipe

  1. Ratio: We use a proportion of 1:16, that is, for every gram of coffee we add 16 grams of water. For this recipe, we will use 320g of water, which is equivalent to 20g of coffee.
  2. Heat the water: Heat the filtered water until it reaches a temperature of 92-96°C.
  3. Grind the coffee: Grind 20g of coffee to a medium point.
  4. Prepare the filter: Place the paper filter in the V60 and rinse it with hot water to remove any paper taste and warm the container.
  5. Add the coffee: Place the 20g of ground coffee in the filter, making sure to level the coffee.
  6. First Pour (Bloom): Pour 40g of hot water (twice the weight of the coffee) over the ground coffee, making sure to wet everything, and let sit for 30-45 seconds to allow the coffee to "bloom" and off-gas.
  7. Main pour: After bloom, pour the rest of the water in small, constant circles, maintaining a uniform flow. Add the water in increments, avoiding pouring directly over the edges of the filter. Total pour time should be approximately 2:30-3:00 minutes.
  8. Wait and serve: Let the coffee finish filtering and remove it from the V60.
  9. Enjoy: Pour coffee into your favorite mug and enjoy delicious coffee brewed in your V60.
